In Charleston, West Virginia, a story was playing out that had many
residents on the edge of their seats. It all began when a small group of
kindhearted (and very alert) people heard the cries of a kitten.

They narrowed down the location of the call to a storm drain on the side
of the road. Itty Bitty Kitty Committee said that city workers, as well
as Police Officer Matt Petty, stopped what they were doing to help
these citizens find the source of the calls.

After seeing the kitten, they were sure she was down in the tunnels
beneath the road, but were having trouble catching her because she
always nervously retreated back down the tunnels when they approached.
After setting a live trap, they soon realized the kitten did not weigh
enough to spring the trap. Then the workers and rescuers came up with a
plan involving fishing nets.

Thankfully, and luckily, it worked. Rescuers took little 6 week old Catlyn to the veterinarian.

The vet cleaned her up and examined her thoroughly, and then took her home to foster.
If you’ve taken one look at this cutie, though, I bet you can guess the
rest of this story. Yes, the amazing vet decided that Catlyn had already
found her forever home, and decided to adopt Catlyn permanently. Catlyn
should be well looked after from here on out!
This is incredible! I’m so happy that the kitten found her home, but
that’s not always the case with rescue cats. Please share this post to
thank everyone who helped this beautiful kitty find her forever home and
to encourage more people to adopt rescue cats
